Cast Spring


Gavin Greenaway - Conductor

Gavin Greenaway has been collaborating with Hans Zimmer for the past 25 years, from the beginning of the composer‘s career through to his biggest blockbusters. The musical director has conducted a number of Zimmer‘s film scores, including “The Prince of Egypt”, “Gladiator”, “Pearl Harbor”, “The Ring”, “Inception” and “Interstellar”. Greenaway has been involved in the composing, songwriting, production and orchestration of approximately 90 movies – including for James Newton Howard, John Powell and others. He is also the composer of nocturnal lighting spectacle “Reflections of Earth”, which has been presented at Disney‘s EPCOT theme park since 1999.


Lisa Gerrard – Vocalist

Lisa Gerrard has established herself as one of the world‘s most highly acclaimed singers and film composers, with a vocal style that is as unique as it is precise and allembracing. The Australian singer has collaborated with Hans Zimmer on films including “Mission: Impossible”, “King Arthur”, “Black Hawk Down”, “Tears of the Sun” and “Gladiator” – which won her a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination. Gerrard will be performing a selection of the most popular songs she co-wrote with the composer on THE WORLD OF HANS ZIMMER tour.


Lebo M. - Vocalist

Lebohang “Lebo M” Morake is a South African singer, performer, producer and composer most famous for arranging and performing music for The Lion King movies and stage productions. Lebo M went on to co-produce, co-write and perform numerous film soundtracks with Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith and James Newton Howard to name just a few. As a performer, Lebo M has featured as special guest on ALL Hans Zimmer Live World Tours. Lebo M has also special guest appeared in other Live concert events including HAVASI and Hollywood in Vienna special concert events. Lebo M later produced The Lion King Broadway Production South Africa on its home coming African continent presentation. This was followed by Lebo M executive producing and composing the FIFA 2010 World Cup Opening and closing ceremonies in South Africa. With the success of the Disney Animation feature released originally in 1994 The Lion King, Disney records released a Lebo M fi­rst solo album, Rhythm of the Pride Lands which included new additional compositions by Lebo M. The album went on to multi-platinum status, who’s songs written by Lebo M inspired The Lion King Broadway director Ms. Julie Taymor to commit to directing The Lion King Broadway Productions. Known the world-over as ‘The Voice and Spirit of The Lion King’. LEBO M’s songs became the classic songs now recognised by no less than 90 million fans around theworld songs such as HE LIVES IN YOU, SHADOWLANDS, ENDLESS NIGHT and ONE BY ONE to name a few. He also contributed to the ­lm’s direct-to-video sequel The LionKing II: Simba’s Pride. Highlights of Lebo M’s achievements include Performing, composing, producing, and winning a Grammy for the music of The Lion King which has graced over 85 million audiences worldwide, and generated profi­ts of over $10 billion. Performing, composing, producing music for feature films such as, The Lion King & Return To Pride Rock, The Power of One, Dinosaur, Back On The Block - The Life of Quincy Jones, Congo, Long Nights Journey Into Day, Blended, Tears Of The Sun and The Legend Of Tarzan.


Nokukhanya Dlamini – Vocalist

Nokukhanya Dlamini, a native of the township of Esikhawiniin Empangeni, Kwa-Zulu Natal, has always been passionate about performing. Her early years were graced with her vocal talents shining through, often leading school assemblies with her powerful voice, drawing admiration from her peers. Gospel music has been the cornerstone of Nokukhanya's musical journey. In themid-90s, she became part of a Gospel ensemble that performed at various events in Esikhawini, catching the attention of renowned figures such as Jabu Hlongwane and the late Sihle Kunene. Her breakthrough arrived at a Gospel festival in her hometown, where Mthunzi Namba, from Family Factory, recognized her talent, paving the way for her inclusion in the legendary Gospel group. Nokukhanya's exceptional voice propelled her into the South African music scene, leading to collaborations with industry icons Sibongile Khumalo and Gloria Bosman.. Transitioning into jazz, Nokukhanya's musical odyssey prompted her to collaborate with the accomplished Themba Mkhize for her Jazz album, "Tribute to You". Evidence of her unyielding commitment to her roots is demonstrated through her various musical concepts, such as "NOKUKHANYA’s GOSPEL ACCORDING TOJAZZ" and "NOKUKHANYA sings the music of the LEGENDS". Through the seen deavors, she continues to weave a seamless bond between her heritage and her musical expression.


Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod – Vocalist (Soprano)

Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod began her musical education playing cello, piano and clarinet. After winning the 1st prize at the Hilde Zadek Competition in Vienna she was invited to join the Young Ensemble of Theater an der Wien in Vienna, Austria. Since then, Gan-ya has performed with leading opera companies such as the Staatsoper Stuttgart, Komische Oper Berlin, Théâtre du Capitole, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Israeli Opera, Teatro Real, Theater Freiburg, Staatsoper Oldenburg, Glyndebourne Festival, Aix-en-Provence Festival, Salzburg Festival, Grafenegg Festival, Ravinia Festival, Carnegie Hall, Wiener Konzerthaus, Musikverein and more. Gan-ya is a recipient of numerous awards in Austria, the US, Israel and Istanbul. Gan-ya is a sought-after interpreter of Contemporary music as well as film music. She holds a Master’s degree in opera from the City University of New York, a Bachelor’s degree in music performance from Tel-Aviv University and is serving as a Professor for vocal contemporary music at Graz University.


Juan Garcia-Herreros – Bass Guitar

Juan García-Herreros, also known by his indigenous name "Snow Owl," is a Latin Grammy-nominated composer, producer, and bassist. His exceptional musicality and artistic abilities have taken him to stages across the world, where he collaborates with multiple Grammy-and Oscar-winning artists. In2021, he was a featured soloist in Hans Zimmer’s “Dune” soundtrack. Hans’ requests for the follow-up soundtrack, “Dune: Part Two”, further inspired Snow Owl’s unique depth of sonic bass design for the score. In 2022, Juan was also invited to be a part of the Hans Zimmer Live band. Snow Owl serves as the creative director of Totem Warriors, a sound collective producing soundtracks for video games and film.


Pedro Eustache – Multi Woodwinds Solist

Venezuelan-born Pedro Eustacheis a world-renowned multi-woodwind soloist, composer, lecturer, educatorand instrument-maker with over 45 years of professional experience and extensive academic studies. He achieved a degree in Classical flute from two European Conservatories and holds a M.F.A. in Jazz performance from the California Institute of the Arts. Pedro's passion for world music led him to study under iconic masters such as the late legends Pndit. Ravi Shankar and Pndt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, as well as Armenian duduk with Djivan Gasparyan, Arabic Nay with Nabil Abdmouleh, and Australian didgeridoo with David Hudson, among others. Distinguished by his collection of around 600 musical instruments, encompassing both acoustic and electronic creations, many of which he built himself, Pedro has gained prominence as a featured winds soloist in global tours such as "Hans Zimmer Live", "The World of Hans Zimmer", and "Game of Thrones-Live" since 2017. His collaborative endeavors include performances, recordings, and tours with esteemed artists such as Sir Paul McCartney, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Michael Giacchino, Danny Elfman, Alexandre Desplat and many others. Pedro is highly regarded as the first-call world winds soloist in the Los Angeles and international recording studios scene, having contributed to over 150 film, TV, and video game soundtracks, including noteworthy works such as the Oscar-winning “Dune” (2022), the Grammy Award-winning “Encanto” (2023), "The Lion King 2”, "Pirates of the Caribbean”, “How to Train your Dragon", “Indiana Jones 4”, “Black Panther 2”and many more. Additionally, he has made a notable impact in the video game community, earning recognition as ”#Flute Guy” for his viral performances in events like “The Game Awards”. Overall, Pedro's multifaceted expertise and global influence position him as a distinguished figure in the world of music and performance.


Rusanda Panfili – Solo Violin

Rusanda Panfili, a Moldovan/Romanian violinist, embarked on her musical journey in Bucharest, Romania. Remarkably, at the age of 11, she garnered acclaim for her exceptional talent, becoming one of the youngest students at the Conservatory of Music in Vienna, Austria. It was during her pursuit of a Master's degree in classical violin that she discovered her passion for a diverse array of music genres. Throughout her career, Panfili has graced the stage with esteemed orchestras including the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, the Sonderborg Symphony, Weimarer Staatskapelle, and the Jerusalem Symphony. Her collaborations span a wide spectrum of celebrated artists, ranging from Andrea Bocelli, Lisa Gerard, Tina Guo, and Woraklsto Igudesman & Joo, Valentina Nafornita, The Aristocrats, and Carlos Raffael Rivera. Noteworthy among her many artistic partnerships is her association with film music composer Hans Zimmer. She has served as the first violinist in Zimmer's global tours "Hans Zimmer Live" and "The World of Hans Zimmer." Furthermore, she has contributed to Zimmer's scores for films such as "Boss Baby 2," "The Son," and "Army of Thieves." In addition to her live performances, Panfili has released several albums, including the world music edition" Panfili & Friends: Primul," and her experimental electronic music collection of original compositions, titled “ANDARA1980”. Her upcoming album, “LIBERTANGO,” is scheduled for release in Fall 2024.


Eliane Correa – Keyboard

Eliane Correa is a Cuban-Argentinian pianist, music director and composer based in London. Curator of the London Latin Jazz Fest and touring keyboardist for »The World of Hans Zimmer«, Eliane directs, arranges, plays and produces for a wide range of established artists both in London and internationally, as well as composes music for award-winning theatre productions and films. She initially became known for her Afro-Cuban funk fusion project WARA, which toured the UK and Europe extensively in the last decade, winning 3 LUKAS awards and releasing several critically acclaimed records. More recently she focused on her large-scale Cuban salsa band La Evolución, with whom she has recently released an album, and the Afro- Cuban jazz/soul ensemble En el Aire Project. Her unique sound equally reflects her Latin heritage and London musical melting pot experience.


Mariko Muranaka – Cellist

Mariko Muranaka is an acclaimed standing cellist (acoustic/electric) known for her exceptional artistic perspective. She has garnered international recognition as the first Japanese solo musician to grace the stages of Cirque de Soleil. Based in the USA, Mariko captivates audiences worldwide with her performances. She has engaged in notable collaborations throughout her career, including joining Madonna in a Prince tribute at the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas in 2016. Additionally, she accompanied the popular American rock band STARSET on their U.S. and European tours in 2014, 2015, and 2018. Her illustrious career also includes touring with Madonna on the "Madame X Tour" from 2019 to 2020, where she earned acclaim as a scene-stealing musician featured in Rolling Stone Online Magazine. In 2020, Mariko performed alongside Karol G at the 21st Latin Grammy Awards, and in April 2022, she shared the stage with Carry Underwood at the 23rd Grammy Awards in Las Vegas. From November 2022 to March 2023, she had the honor of performing with Adele, followed by joining Hans Zimmer for the Hans Zimmer Live tour from March to June 2023. Furthermore, Mariko has arranged and performed on live TV shows for several years. Her recording credits span various artists, movies, and commercials. Mariko's talent, versatility, and captivating performances have solidified her status as a highly sought-after musician, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry.


Alexios Anest – Guitarist

Alexios Anest is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and recording artist known for his highly virtuosic guitar playing. A classical musician in spirit but a rock & roller at heart, Alexios’ music ranges from epic orchestral arrangements combined with electrifying guitar solos, to intricate and emotive acoustic pieces. Born in a small farm town in western Nebraska, he taught himself the guitar and piano at age of 14, learning everything from Led Zeppelin to J.S. Bach and later studied guitar and piano at the Berklee College of Music. His musical journey has taken him all over the world, most notably to Granada, Spain, where he lived and studied Flamenco with the local masters. Alexios is one of the few guitarists in the world who is equally at home on both the flamenco and electric guitar.


Aleksandra Šuklar – Mallets/Orchestra Percussion

Aleksandra Šuklar is a versatile multi-percussionist and marimba artist who completed her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees under the tutelage of Nebojša Jovan Živković at MUK–The Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna in 2016. As a prize winner of numerous national and international competitions, Šuklar has garnered recognition for her exceptional talent. Šuklar has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at festivals including Gustav Mahler Musikwochen, Samobor Music Festival and Vienna International Saxfest, and has collaborated with various ensembles and orchestras. Beyond her accomplishments in the classical realm, Šuklar has established herself as an extraordinary multi-percussionist and marimba artist. She has captivated audiences worldwide with her enthralling solo performances and has toured as a solo percussionist with renowned film music composer Hans Zimmer as a part of his band. Additionally, Šuklarhas contributed her talent to recordings for Hollywood productions, collaborating with giants like Netflix, DreamWorks, and Warner Bros. Her contributions can be heard in soundtracks for films such as "Sponge Bob," "Dune," "The Creator," and "Kung Fu Panda 4,"among others. Aleksandra Šuklar plays Yamaha and is an artist at Pearl Drums, Meinl Percussion, Meinl Cymbals, Schlagkraft Mallets and sE Electronics. She continues to redefine the boundaries of percussion artistry by premiering solo works and concertos for percussion, that are dedicated to her.


Lucy Landymore – Drums/Percussion

Lucy Landymore is an award-winning percussionist, drummer, and composer. She is considered one of the most versatile and exciting multi-percussionists of our time. As a soloist, she has performed her own works at venues such as the Tonhalle Maag (Zurich), Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Radiokulturhaus Wien, and Alondra de la Parra's famous PAAX Festival in Cancun, Mexico. Since 2014, Lucy Landymore has been playing for the renowned film composer Hans Zimmer. Among the other artists she has shared the stage with are Pharrell Williams, Guthrie Govan, Charlie XCX, Stewart Copeland, Andrea Bocelli, and Igudesman & Joo. Lucy Landymore has been featured internationally on numerous TV andradio stations, including Michael Parkinson, Deutsche Welle, BBC, and ORF. She is also part of "Hans Zimmer Live in Prague" on Netflix and recently appeared as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic on Czech television.


Luis Ribeiro – Multi-Percussion

Luis Ribeiro was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and He has had the opportunity to work across several musical genres including pop, rock, funk, opera, jazz, Austropop and world. He‘s worked with a wide range of artists, including Ricky Martin, Gloria Gaynor, Martin Grubinger, Count Basic, opera singer Juan Diego Flórez, Erwin Schrott, Angelika Kirchschlager, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, saxophonist Bill Evans, and many more. He teaches percussion at the University for Music and Arts in Vienna, the Mozarteum Salzburg, the Bruckner Konservatorium Linz and the Prince Claus Conservatory Groningen.
