NEVER LET IT GO

In March of this year Dance To Tipperary began celebrating their 20th anniversary with the digital release of their ‘20 for 20’ album and a special 20th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut album. 

The albums were released as scheduled. Unfortunately special 20 year celebration concerts and live appearances being planned had to be postponed due to Covid-19. 

Despite these necessary changes to plans, Dance To Tipperary have done their best to celebrate 20 years and have helped and supported some in need along the way in these extraordinarily strange and difficult times.   

The single ‘What Kind Of World’, penned by legendary songwriter Diane Warren, was released on 17th July, 2020. 

The full Dance To Tipperary catalogue was also made available on all streaming platforms in all countries around the world for the first time.

"It's incredible to think it's now over 20 years since our debut album was released. Before any big hits, big gigs and even the term "Dance to Tipp", it was just a group of friends and musicians steeped in Irish traditional roots who decided to do something different and make a few dance tunes with Irish trad in them. We had no thought of longevity or legacy.

It certainly has not been easy at times but we always found some ray of light or hope or support somewhere. We haven't let it go for over twenty years, been close a few times but ultimately didn't.” 

We dedicate this track to all suffering and finding life difficult and challenging in these unprecedented times. 

We would like to thank absolutely everybody who has supported us along the way and made this epic and unique journey we started over 20 years possible. We hope to see you all sometime in the future.

When Never Let it Go was originally recorded, vocalist Chilli said “Never Let It Go is my stand-out favourite and the one I am most looking forward to performing live. Believe me this song is going to rock!" 

Never Let It Go (2020 Radio Edit) has been mastered at Abbey Road Studios.
