“You shine and when you sing, you light up.”
“Effortless, controlled and beautiful.”
“This is your time. Go for it. You really have the talent.”
“You are a star in my eyes. You are incredible.”
Melanie McCabe, the girl with the golden voice was just 18 when she did her final X Factor.
“She should have won it, I believed in her totally.” said Louis Walsh.
“What you can’t help admire about Melanie is that she refuses to take no for an answer and she’s not starting now.” says manager Pat Egan.
“I enjoyed the X Factor experience, but it’s history now.” Melanie says. “It’s time to re-invent myself with this new music.” “I’ve written some good tracks that will be on the album and I have really enjoyed working in the studio with producer Billy Farrell (The Corrs, Brian Kennedy and Michael Flatley) and co-writer Sharon Condon. They are brilliant!” says Melanie.
In 2015 Hot Press wrote after her industry showcase launch at The Sugar Club:”….it was revealed that Melanie’s first single will be a cover of The Stylistics’ ‘You Make Me Feel Brand New’, which will include contributions from the band themselves. It is a measure of the increasing esteem in which Melanie is held that she can attract the support of soul legends of that calibre. She has the pipes. She has the determination. She looks the part. And she has a strong management team behind her. The next few years should be very interesting indeed for Melanie McCabe…”
Melanie releases her first original single, My Gravity, on October 7th and also announces her first concerts to support the release:
